Title: A Gift to Give
Rating: PG
Fandom: Persona 2
Words: 203
Summary: It's heavy, and he knows it isn't for him to keep.
Notes: It's cannon! Actual, true to god, in game cannon. Well... mostly. :3
Jun watched as the strange boy in red turned toward him, reaching out a hand. Fingers curling tightly around the lighter he always seemed to be carrying in his pocket, Jun stepped forward. Coming up beside the teen, he felt a strange feeling in his chest, a desperate throb.
A frantic jumble of words began to fall from his lips. “I know it’s not much…” Jun said, withdrawing the lighter from his pocket, “But please accept this as a token of appreciation for saving us…” Pressing the object into the boy’s hand Jun froze for a moment, fingers lightly resting against the other’s warm skin. “I must give it… to you.” He lifted his head, gaze meeting the brown haired boy’s. “I just have this feeling…”
A sharp wave of pain washed over the red clad boy’s face as his fingers closed around the lighter, Jun’s hands still clasped around his own. “……I have nothing to give back in return…” he said despairingly.
Jun wanted to answer but couldn’t as a strange yet familiar pressure was pressed against his mouth. Then it was gone, a soft, “I’m sorry,” brushing over his lips as he felt himself pushed backwards, falling out of the blimp.
