Notes: I was watching the cutscene where Main (Minato in the Persona 3 manga) first summons his Persona. Holy Shite. Also, damn you Main for hardly talking in the game and for not having an actual name! (Which is why I'm using Minato from the manga). Here is a link to the scene I wrote out. Yukari directed Minato through the door to the bloodstained roof and once they were both through quickly closed and locked it. “I think we're okay for now,” she said with a sigh. A loud noise sounded nearby as the building shook. “Huh!?” The two juniors quickly turned around as the noises started to get closer. “What?” Yukari breathed, gray eyes growing wide. A dark hand reached up from the side of the building and gasped the edge, then another, and another, and another, a massive creature made up of arms. A iridescent blue mask appeared as well, held by another of the shadow hands as it turned it back and forth, as if the mask was looking for something. Spotting the two humans it stilled for a second before nearly every hand drew bright silver blades and it began to charge them. “Those monsters,” Yukari said. “We call them 'Shadows'!” Her hand went for the gun strapped to her thigh and with quickening breaths she drew it, pressing the barrel to the center of her forehead as her thumb curled around the trigger. Squeezing her eyes tightly closed Yukari made to pull it, but one of the Shadow's arms attacked and knocked her to the ground, sending the gun flying away from her. It skidded to a stop at Minato's feet, resting in a pool of blood. For a moment he just stared at it, before lifting his head to look from Yukari to the Shadow, which was steadily moving closer. For a moment Minato saw the boy from the first night, the one who had had him sign a contract. “Go on,” the boy said. In the security room Ikutsuki, Akihiko, and Mitsuru flipped through the cameras, looking for the wayard students. “There!” Akihiko said as the they switched to the rooftop feeds. He and Mitsuru looked at one another and both nodded before standing and moving towards the door. “Wait,” Ikutsuki requested, the light from the screens reflecting off his glasses. Minato bent down and picked up the gun, holding it with both hands as he stared straight ahead. The memory of Yukari holding it to her head flashed through his mind. Again and again he saw it. Saw the boy. The Shadow. The moon in the green tinged sky. The gun lying in the pool of blood. He lifted it to his head with a shaking hand, finger closing around the trigger as his breath started to come in quick pants. Then for one brief moment Minato's hand stilled as his lips formed three quiet syllables. "Per...so...na..." And the trigger was pulled.
